The city of Trulli (Unesco World Heritage)
Alberobello is founded in the middle of the large area of compact limestone of the southern “Murge”, about an hour from Matera, in the nearby Puglia, known for its unique houses, the “Trulli”.
The Trulli of Alberobello, known as inverted cone houses, are the pearl of Puglia, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
